Special Statement Regarding the COVID-19 Situation
In light of the developing COVID-19 news, we would like you to be aware of changes that we will be making at our office. The American Dental Association (ADA) and the North Dakota State Board of Dentistry have advised a temporary suspension of non-essential dental procedures.
As a leader in the dental community, we feel it is our duty to protect our patients from harm in all ways possible and be proactive in our response to the ADA recommendation. We feel it is of the utmost importance to follow the guidelines from the ADA and the CDC, which means non-essential dental care will be suspended.
Suspending non-essential dental care means that we will be unable to provide our patients with their regular exams and cleanings and any other treatment that can be safely postponed until April 20, 2020 as we continue to monitor all changes occurring with the spread of the virus.
If you have a regularly scheduled appointment, we will be contacting you to discuss changing your appointment date if it is deemed non-essential. However, if you are having a dental emergency we want you to know we are here for you. Dr. Clausnitzer and his team have made the commitment to remain open and available Monday through Friday for dental treatment that is deemed necessary and essential.
We will be reducing hours and reducing the numbers of staff present to lessen potential person to person contact, however because we do not want to put any additional burden on the emergency rooms and medical professionals, we are here and will be ready to handle any dental emergency that may arise during this time. As always, call our clinic to discuss any concerns or questions.
