Gum Tissue -
Taking good care of your mouth and teeth throughout your whole life can help prevent problems as you get older. Taking care of your teeth means brushing and flossing every day and seeing the dentist regularly. If you do not, sometimes the the gum tissue can become inflamed and bleed easily. If your oral hygiene (brushing) does not improve, this can lead to periodontal (gum) disease. Relax. While many adults do develop some degree of gum disease as part of the aging process, there are steps you can take to prevent it.
